Tunesië keurt 500 MW zonneproject goed

The Tunisian government has approved several solar projects with a combined capacity of 500 MW and a total investment of 1.2 billion Tanzanian dinars (407.9 million/€374.9 million).
In 2019, the projects were awarded to a consortium of Norwegian renewable energy producer Scatec ASA, France's Engie and Moroccan energy company Nareva, as well as AMEA power LLC and TBEA Xinjiang New Energy Co., Ltd. part of the country's franchise system.
De regering zei vorige week op haar website dat de nieuwe zonne-energiecentrales zullen worden gevestigd in Kairouan (100 MW), Tataouin (200 MW), Tozeur (50 MW), de provincie Sidi Bouzid (50 MW) en de provincie Gafsa (100 MW) . Het nieuwe project zal Tunesië helpen de invoer van aardgas met 6 procent te verminderen en de kosten met 130 miljoen Tanzaniaanse dinars te verlagen.
